This Opaque Lab Created ruby's matches the chemical and physical properties of a natural ruby. A natural star ruby has needle like inclusions in a star shape which cause light to reflect off it in a star pattern, it is very rare for a natural ruby to have a perfect star. A laser is used to make the inclusions on these star rubies, creating a perfect but natural looking star reflection.
