The modern radiant cut is the most sparkly, but in sizes that are thinner you can see an hourglass effect. The best sizes for the modern radiant are sizes that are more square than long, such as 6x5mm and 8x7mm, these have no hourglass effect. The original radiants don't have the hourglass effect so much, but are less sparkly.
