These lab created Alexandrites are chemically identical to natural Alexandrites (beryllium oxide). The colour changes significantly from green in the sunlight to purple in candle light. Because of the depth and transparency of the stones, the larger stones change colour better than the smaller ones. For example, the smaller 6mm stones can still look green in artificial light at certain angles, but the large 9x7mm Pear is clearly green in the sunlight and 100% purple in artificial light. These are not simulated Alexandrites, these are true Lab Created Alexandrite stones. Often simulated stones are wrongfully sold as lab created, but these are true lab created stones and guaranteed to match the chemical and physical properties of a natural Alexandrite. All the alexandrite stones below are internally flawless.
